Header's size changes when we try to enter text

The search bar in the app stays in position but header changes in size when we try to enter text. The keyboard comes up and the header becomes smaller. In some phones, it even hides the search bar itself.

I think this might be because the header is expressed as a % but everything else isn't so when the keyboard comes up it adjusts itself to match the new screen configuration.

Does this only happen when you emulate it/run it on a phone? It doesn't seem to be happening when serving on a web browser.
