An easy way to add some more detail would be to include a scale foreach image

Something like this but in light years?

Away from good clipping tool, but "NIGHT SKY"/"NIGHT SKY X" have a good example for this. The stadometer you provided as an image reference is the correct template idea, but it's best to provide the scale in something like Psc or some other C/radians kind of thing so you don't have to use two different scaling tools to provide a sense of area vs linear distances.
