Detailed description of your suggestion

Suggestion: Configure the project to support linting in vscode and hotreload of the app when changes are made

Context: I have been trying to work on #2262 but have been struggling as it doesn't seem like the project is configured for linting in vscode nor electron hot reload.

Is this the case or am I missing something?
