2.0.0 Alpha 6
After several years of silence, we start up the development machine with this new alpha release for ImpressCMS 2.0.
In order to run this version, you will need
- an Apache web server (2.4) with mod_rewrite enabled
- PHP 5.6+, we recommend PHP 7.1 - some known issues with PHP 7.2
- composer installed on the machine
How to install:
- Unzip in a folder above your htdocs folder (ImpressCMS now places many files outside of the htdocs folder that is acessible from the internet, for security reasons.
- run 'composer update' in the htdocs folder
- go to your htdocs folder, and start the installation program.
We hope you see the major advances that were made during this development cycle, we have lots more waiting to show you!

This release includes the security updates published previously in Patch 7, along with some bugfixes. The security patch for the PHPMailer library is also included

We now present ImpressCMS 1.3.9! ImpressCMS 1.3.9 contains several bugfixes and enhancements, some of them specifically to work correctly on newer PHP versions.
ImpressCMS now requires PHP 5.5 to run, which shouldn't be a problem in today's world.
Using ImpressCMS 1.3.9
Now is the perfect moment to start developing sites with ImpressCMS 1.3.9. This release should be backward-compatible with previous 1.3 releases, so you should have no problem using modules that are 1.3 or 2.0 compatible.
Translating ImpressCMS
You can help bring new translations to the ImpressCMS core and make it easy for non-english speakers to use ImpressCMS in their language. Contact @fiammybe for more information or have a look at the wiki pages (http://wiki.impresscms.org/modules/wiki/index.php?page=Translation_Basics).

The ImpressCMS Core source code is available on Github (https://github.com/ImpressCMS/impresscms/), where you are invited to fork it, change it, and make a pull request for integration into a next release. We have already integrated some pull request from external developers and will be very happy do to so in the future.

Known Issues
One bug was untreated as of yet, where previewing a comment could result in the loss of your text (#913) This will be taken on in the next release of the 1.3 codebranch.

We now present the Release Candidate for ImpressCMS 1.3.9! ImpressCMS 1.3.9 RC contains several bugfixes and enhancements to work correctly on newer PHP versions.

This goal of this release candidate is to determine exactly that Normally, if no blocking bugs are discovered, I would like to take advantage of the extra day in February that we have this year and do a February 29th release.

ImpressCMS 1.3.8 contains updates for external libraries and bugfixes, some of them backported from the ImpressCMS 2.0 developments.
If you are installing a new site, use the impresscms-1.3.8.zip archive.
If you are upgrading an already existing site, please use the impresscms-1.3.x-to-1.3.8.zip file to conserve your configuration.
