Unable to import MM extension from Chrome after "Secret Recovery" or "New MM Extension"

Describe the bug

After a user selects "Secret Recovery" or "New MM Extension" they are stuck in a "loop" and unable to import MM extension from Chrome.

Steps to reproduce

1. Start with no wallet connected (use the Reset Extension option in Advanced Settings)
2. Upon relaunch -> select the "Secret Recovery" option in Advanced Options
3. Select "Connect Wallet" in the wallet menu to return to the Wallet Connections modal
4. Select "MM Extension"
5. Observe that the user is unable to connect via Chrome
6. Repeat from Step 2 and select "New MM Extension"

Expected behavior

The user is able to connect MM extension via Chrome
