'Tip of the Day' not working

Tip of the Day is not working, the window isn't showing any text.

If the folder strings is not found, it doesn't show the tips.
Create a symlink from "Becasso/data" to "Becasso/source/data", then it'll work

jam install doesn't copy the text files over to the target directory.
I don't know why, but when I create the symlink like mentioned above and change /Becasso/data/stringas/Jamfile first line from
SubDir TOP data strings ; to
SubDir TOP source data strings ;

it works. Maybe someone with a little experience finds the problem quickly.
