[BUG]: Players randomly do not advance to next round/end of game

Describe the bug

• when playing with 6-12 people, some players who started the game and were confirmed in the lobby/player list will randomly stop advancing to successive rounds.
• the game still continues, but on end of game, this "drop off" results in some weird leaderboard and map behavior. in one instance, the main screen went from last location to black, with the picker map in bottom left only displaying a subset of players and their picks with scores etc there. no visible way to continue/advance round or view the final scores.

To Reproduce

1. start a game with 6-12 players in different locations/with different IP's.
2. advance through rounds as usual.
3. check for consistent advancement among players.
4. in ~10-20% of games, one or more players may get stuck on the loading screen between end of current round and start of next, or prior to the final score view.

Expected behavior

all players who begin the game and maintain connection during the game advance through all rounds and can view the final scores.
