Could this mod be backported? (I doubt it, but this mod isn't doing anything insane, like most other mods.)

Title. Mods like ESSENTIAL support Fabric (like this mod), and have a 1.12 version as well. Would be nice if a 1.12 and 1.7 version existed, as I'm not aware of any mod for either version. (besides ESSENTIAL for 1.12, as stated already.)

I started working on supporting all the way back to 1.8 or 1.7 on the rewrite, but then I came to the conclusion that it's just not worth it for how much effort it is. 1.13 changed so much about the game everywhere. Not to mention that Forge doesn't support Mixin in older versions, so I'd need to add a Mixin loader, which isn't fun, considering that each of those legacy versions has a different Mixin loader.

Well, MixinBootstrap/MixinBooter exist on 1.12 (and are the only 2 for 1.12 that Ik of), and 1.7.10 has UniMixins (which is a combo of most mixin loaders that 1.7.10 has, and is pretty recent). So there's only 3 that need support, if you do backport the mod.

Ik 1.13 changed a lot, which you can blame both Forge and Mojang for, at least your not porting Create, lol.

This mod will not be backported. Supporting lots of versions is a huge maintenance burden. However, someone could make a version of this mod for older versions and use the same protocol, making them interoperable.
