Add the possilbilty to mute an input

I use a capture device to input my turntable in my computer so I can listen to vinyl records while working. However, I would like to have the possibility to quickly mute this input, for example when participating in a meeting/call. In the meantime, I can use the volume down function then use volume up when my call end, but having the ability to mute it would be really great!

I don't listen to vinyl, but I also have reasons to why I would like to be able to mute an Input like jayPare asked for - but! I wanna be able to mute every input with different hotkeys. Is that possible to look into?
