Hi , I missed the FCC meetup in hong kong and reviewing your slides, hope you dont mind me asking you a question here, unsure of where exactly to ask .
As a solo developer, i often work between home and work. I have been trying to find a way to sync my code to the cloud whereby it will always be update to on which ever machine i use.
i am using vscode as my IDE, and there is no sync extension per se, so I am forced to use GITHUB, since i am quite scared ot the command line, i am using the built in git interface to push, pull, commit etc.. I have to do this every time and if I forget my code doesn't sync up.
My question is, as a solo develop what is the best way to keep code in sync, i have tried to use cloud drives such as one drive and drop box, but they don't work well with so many nested directories and have limitations with webpack . I have also tried online IDE such as codeanywehre.com or stackblitz which is great because the code is online therefore there is nothing to sync it with, but it lacks all the extensions that VS code has to offer.
Can you suggest me a good github workflow whereby my code always stays in sycn, i really don't need to track changes, that would be a added benefit, but just want it to be kept in sync, without running in to errors. I often run in to "clean working directory" errors when using git from within vs code.
Thanks
Rishi
