I wrote a script (https://gist.github.com/OgreTransporter/5b1e389c23cb5e871dd05ebf2a56a166) to try out and compare all renderers. In #958 it was desired to create a C++ program instead of a script.

The problem with the script is, that we need a second script for Unix-based systems. A C++ program - if it is simple enough - could help handle this possibly better. If writing an keeping up to date a second script is simpler, I'll take the script ;-)
