Note off random issue

Hi everyone,
I've built a "wireless midi cable" using 2 Arduino nano, nrf24 and standard midi input and output circuit.
The input side is connected on hardware serial input, but randomly Arduino doesn't read note off, so you hear stuck note.
I've added midi panic button, but if possible, i want to find my error.
Receiver side works perfectly using software serial.

Could you post your sketches please? Also, I'm not sure of the complete logical diagram, is this as follows?

Source -> (Hardware Serial RX) Emitter -> nrf24 TX ......radio...... nrf24 RX -> Receiver (SoftwareSerial TX) -> Destination

Is possible that Arduino make some errors during the assignment byteVar1=byteVar2 if the first byte have the first byte to zero?

I've done more tests, and it seems that the serial buffer fills up, because if i hold down a key to turn on after touch signal, values goes over 127.
I've increased serial buffer from 64 to 256 bytes and it looks better.

That's interesting, thanks for reporting back. You could try and remove the delay(2) in your loop to make it run faster and consume the buffer before it fills up. You can also ask the MIDI library to parse all available data in one call to MIDI.read rather than one byte at a time:

I've done some modify to my sketch:
I've increased serial buffer to 1024 byte, now I wait 1ms at the end of the loop and I put modify that suggest in previous post.
Now it seems to work, i need to do more tests.
Also PCM817 works very well.

Good to know. FYI, you don't really need a delay in your main loop (it only slows it down). For a clean panic button edge detection, a debouncing library is what you're looking for.
