Barcode Buddy 1.8.1.3 using the Home Assistant docker addon.
I configured my Grocy running on Home Assistant today to use the nginx reverse proxy. Setup went fine, connecting the Grocy Android App worked directly.
Then I tried to add Barcode Buddy from using the local address http://homeassistant.local:9119/api/ to the external one and it failed. It could not connect. I tried different things and all failed. Then I tried the local address again and it also failed. I then disabled the nginx entry for Grocy and restarted the complete Home Assistant. Then I could connect Barcode Buddy again using the local address. Then I enabled the reverse proxy again, and the Barcode Buddy connection was still working. Finally, I entered the external address to the Barcode Buddy config and now this is also working.
This is absolutely wired as it should work as it does with the Grocy Android app. As I found some articles where others had issues in this direction without a solution I thought it might be helpful to summarize it here, and maybe there is a bug in Barcode Buddy.
