While Grocy allows me to scan a barcode without a dedicated barcode scanner (laptop webcam or mobile phone camera) it doesn't have the lookup function that barcode buddy has. And while Barcode Buddy will take a barcode I enter and look the product up, allow me to import it into Grocy etc., I have to manually enter the barcode value, rather than using my mobile phone or laptop to scan it.
Perhaps I'm missing something, as I haven't seen this request listed, but I'd love to be able to use my mobile phone to scan the barcode into barcode buddy.

It would be possible, but to be honest the library that is included with grocy doesn't work very well (at least in my experience). For Android there is a basic app available and the Barcodebuddy API can be called from any other third party application. I will leave this open and would accept pull requests, but probably won't have the time to implement it myself.
