FluidSynth does not currently implement Soft Pedal Switch CC 67.
The soft pedal switch is supposed to make the affected instrument softer via initial attenuation and filter cutoff parameters in a "pre-defined manner". SoundFont specification is not specific on the details of this manner, so there should probably be some user configurable parameters which are added which determine the amount of change for volume attenuation and filter cutoff.

1)Interesting idea. May be acting on note Velocity rather Volume will be also good as velocity is source of 2 default modulators (Velocity to initial attenuation and Velocity to Filter cutoff) ?
2)Rather than implementing an internal solution, i wonder if an external solution is feasible directly in the Soundfont by editing 2 modulators (with the same sources/ destination as in (1) and driven also by CC soft ?
If it works, this can be used for evaluation and the avantage is that "soft parameters" are naturally suited to the instuments and both (instruments & modulators) conveyed by the SoundFont.Of course the drawback is the need to change a lot of Soundfont !
Again if this external solution work, perhaps we can also implement it inside FS in the same manner ?.This can also help to find the right "soft parameters" for thoses who want edit soundfont ?.
