[Feature Request] Use subdomain for hosting service #2153
Comments
I can't see that this is a bug per se, as the behaviour has never been intended. You can't buy a subdomain at a registrar, and this is intended to be used to register domains with registrars. Can you explain the use case for this request? |
When ordering / providing your own domain name it should not be an issue |
@Anuril My concern is that clients cannot use a subdomain for Servicehosting |
a good system should not struggle with this. Edit: Rereading the original post, I got mislead in my thinking - yet still is a valid reason why a customer may chose to host only a part of his domain with some company. Imagine someone providing white-label service and the easiest way would be to offer them incrediblewhitelabel.domain.com Another reason might be technicality, a customer having a heavy load on img. forum. or whatever .domain and for some reason, as you want to host on another server, panel even maybe, a 2nd account is needed. Whatever, boils down to it should be: |
The same problem. Invalid SLD when I supply domain .domain.com as a client. Is there any solution? |
