Two Tab Characters Pasted When Pasting One #13

To reproduce:

Somehow get a single tab character into the editor.
Select the tab character with SHIFT+Right or SHIFT+LEFT and then use CTRL+C to copy it to the clipboard.
Use CTRL+V to past into the editor.
Result, you see two tab characters. Expected, you see one.
