  • Are you using the latest driver? Yes
  • Are you using the latest EVDI version? Yes
  • If you are using a DisplayLink device, have you checked 'troubleshooting'
    on DisplayLink's website? Yes
  • Is this issue related to evdi/kernel? Yes
  • Linux distribution and its version: Fedora 39
  • Linux kernel version: 6.8.5-201.fc39.x86_64
  • Xorg version (if used)
  • Desktop environment in use: Wayland

kernel: evdi: [W] evdi_gem_mmap:407 Don't allow imported objects to be mapped: owner: i915

Two external screens are connected to my notebook. As soon as I move the mouse pointer to the external screen, I receive the following error in the log with every movement. The mouse pointer is not visible.

Is it only a problem with the newest evdi or do you still see it when you switch back to 1.14.2?

Please provide logs you can gather with SupportTool:
https://www.synaptics.com/products/displaylink-graphics/downloads/linux-support-tool

You can send them on DisplayLink support via technical-enquiries@synaptics.com or post here if you wish.

I have the same issue with 1.14.4. I downgraded to 1.14.2. and it's working now. I can't run the SupportTool as I'm on the ARM Linux (MacBook Air M2).

  • Linux distribution and its version: Ubuntu 23.10 (Asahi Linux)
  • Linux kernel version: 6.6.0-1004-apple-arm
  • Desktop environment in use: Wayland

Please send me 'dmesg' command output and /var/log/displaylink directory.
