[@types/react] MouseEventHandler used as generic type does not work as intended #55252

Hi!

I am trying to do this:

const openMenu: MouseEventHandler<HTMLButtonElement> = e => {
    e.target.focus();
    ...
};

But I get Property 'focus' does not exist on type 'EventTarget'.
