Would be a nice application of pydov, and I would like to aid in the development. But as was discussed during the last sprint: pydov only treats the query and retrieval of DOV data, not the downstream applications. References to applications will be added to the docs.
Maybe a good proposal for an IT-related bachelor project? If I would find some spare time, I would try something in Matplotlib, to be generic in Python. Maybe D3.js can do a nicer job, never tried. And dedicated software exists already for your example.

Thanks for your interest in the case. We are looking forward to seeing how the cross sections will be generated (whether this is done with self written code or by using a commercial software). So, we are interested to know how other people are creating them currently and would like to find out what the needs and possibilities are to collaborate on this topic.
We hope to get everyone's input by the end of September.
It would be good if you could add to the docs any references to downstream applicaties or dedicated software! Thanks in advance! Griet
