There are a number of objective attributes that are involved in the nomination and evaluation of a project for a DINAcon award. Things like GitHub stars, # of contributors, estimates of # installations or users, and potentially hundreds of other performance indicators. Whatever the jury depends on for their decision, it would be worth making it more transparently shown in the results - and clearly documented as part of the Awards set-up.

It is also quite important to document this accurately for historical purposes.
