Installed on MacOS 10.13.6 (17G65) today, there is those huge black backgrounds, showing and blinking as the cursor move over it. Happens on Deezer and Youtube, didn't tested it on others.

Which version of MellowPlayer did you install?
Does this black background appears when two services are running or even when there is only one service running? In the screenshot you posted, it looks like both website content overlap.
Does rebooting your machine solve the problem? I've seen some weird graphics issues with Qt/Qml that were solved by rebooting (maybe after an NVIDIA driver update...)
The only thing I can think of is downloading and installing the application again. I've tried version 3.4.0.1522 on my macbook (MacOS 10.13.6 (17G65)) and I don't have your issue...
