Description:

On 4K display with modified dpi the standard "zoom" is very tiny.

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Have a 65" 4k hdtv and run it with ubuntu 18.04 + modified dpi (25% bigger)
  2. Seat about 2m from your display.
    3.Open Mellow player
  3. log in soundcloud for example, and put your glasses on ^^ :D

Additional Information:

A bit simple for any advanced logs. a little zoom option would be awesome. I use your player to be able to kde-connect it from my phone :) but somehow not beeing to see confortably at a distance is a bit concerning ^^ hey, and thanks for the work.. simple AF and doing excactly what I need ;)
Regards,
H.

You can already zoom in/out with Ctrl++and Ctrl+-. Does that help?

Yesssss B-)) Perfect. Maybe thinking of setting somehow a persistant zoom or anywhere a setting.
:)
Thanks for the workaround!

Do you mean that the zoom is not persisted for you? There is a different zoom setting per streaming service and it should be persisted unless you have an issue with your settings...

We could add a default zoom option that will be used by all service as the base zoom level, if you think that's useful.

Hey, Sorry for the late reply :)
The default zoom is persistent! So it does work wonderfully ;)
I think that it would be great to "show" the zoom options more consistently. *something like in a "view menu".
Just understand that little n00bs like me got a lot of Hdpi rendering issues, all the time, and "knowing" that there is Hdpi support in some way, would really help "us" to be confident and not thinking by default that it does not work ^^ <- *this is end-user-cheap-psychology X-))
Again, very nice piece of soft you made and awesome support !

You're right, the feature (even though it uses some quite standard shortcut) is hard to discover. I propose to add both a default zoom setting and a widget similar to google chrome's zoom widget in the main menu.
