The tutorial only provides a link to a template literal syntax highlighting plugin for VS Code users. However, Sublime Text users can also implement a VueJS compatible package to get this feature.

They need to install this package: https://packagecontrol.io/packages/JSCustom

And use the following configuration to ensure it works with VueJS requirement to announce the template literal via a
/* html */ ` "selector":

{
    "configurations": {
        "Vue Backticks": {
            "custom_templates": {
                "comments": {
                    "html" : "scope:text.html.basic"
                },
            },
        },
    },
}
