Is there the possibility to take a line and not a bounding box?

It could be very useful for me if there is the possibility to draw a line segment instead of boundig box

What would the use case of this be? If there is something you need to underline, could you draw a long and thin box underneath? Or you may find more success just drawing boxes around the things you need. Have had a quick skim over the source code and I don't think toggling between boxes and lines would be a small task as most of the code revolves around being boxes
