Gas meter/account details not showing #865
-
I installed the Octopus add-on a few days ago, and it's working fine for my Electricity account. However, it doesn't show any details for Gas. The add-on says it has 1 device and 26 entities, the 1 device being an Electricity meter. I've had a poke around with the Octopus API manually, and it does seem to report both the presence of a Gas account, and also consumption data for Gas So I'm a bit mystified why the add-on isn't seeing it, ideas are welcome. Below is a redacted dump of what the Octopus API returns, and also the Add-on diagnostics which show no Gas info.

Hello, Sorry that you're having issues and thank you for supplying the raw output from the API. Based on the output, it looks like your gas meter isn't reporting an active agreement (they all finish in 2023). The integration only shows sensors for meters with an active agreement (and agreement with an end date in the future or no end date in sight). This might be something you need to contact OE on. It could be an issue with your account or with the API not returning the complete view of the data. |

Thanks for the reply. I had actually got as far as looking at the code earlier on today and found the issue you mention. I think this must be because I only switched gas supplier to Octopus last month, and perhaps the switch process is still happening. I'll leave it for a while and see if anything changes. |

I emailed Octopus and they've done something, so the Gas tariff now appears as expected. |
