Expected Behavior

A solid block with a feedthrough insulator should not allow particle effects through them.

Actual Behavior

A solid block (such as dark oak planks) is allowing particle effects such as rain to come through. This creates some incorrect visuals and is probably a severe electrical hazard.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Place a dark oak planks block (make sure there are at least two blocks of air beneath it)
  2. place an LV connector on the top and bottom of the block
  3. right click on one of the connectors with an engineer's hammer to create a feedthrough connector
  4. set the weather to rain and observe that the rain will pass through the block.

Update: I've removed all my mods (save for IE) and started a fresh world, and was able to re-create the issue using the steps above:
