Describe the issue

there are 3 derivation paths to choose from when creating the wallet: legacy (BIP44), p2sh-segwit (BIP49), native-segwit (BIP84).

i went for p2sh-segwit (BIP49) when i created the wallet. after reading some forums and reddit i figured out that a few months ago people had the same problem because apparently segwit actually is not competible, so it was very dumb to send it there.

Can you reliably reproduce the issue?

If so, please list the steps to reproduce below:

  1. Send money to p2sh-segwit (BIP49) address in electrum
  2. Try to send to any not zBTCP address again
  3. Error

Actual behaviour + errors

  • "error: {'message': 'the transaction was rejected by network rules.\n\n16: bad-txns-vin-empty\n[...]', 'code': -1}", when sending my total amount
  • "Exception : Invalid status 6d00", when trying to send 1 BTCP.
