Downloading this repo takes 186MB, and 185 of that is the pack file. Could this possibly get cleaned up?

The ZIP file is less than a 1MB. Have you tried to clone the repo? in this case is may be bigger since we has some stuff that have been removed but still it's part of the Git history.
