Description

Hello, AL creates multiple files in the root of the system drive:

I propose cleaning up the directory structure by moving all these files into a dedicated directory, e.g. C:\AutomatedLab.

I understand the point. The change seems minor, but there are a lot of items that need to be touched and tested. I don't know off the cuff if and when the files will be needed after implementation.

How important is that change to you?

@raandree I am am not saying that it would be an important change, nor that the files should be deleted after lab deployment. I just think that the next time a new temporary VM file/log needs to be implemented in AL , a better location than C:\ could be chosen. And when the source code related to the currently used temporary files in VMs is refactored in the future, it could also be changed in a similar way. Such path for VM temporary files (e.g. C:\AutomatedLab\ or /usr/share/automatedlab/) is IMO a good candidate for a variable/setting/preference.
