I can't to use the Authenticator extension in Chrome browser after windows update

Describe the issue

I can't use the Authenticator extension in Chrome browser after Windows update.

1. Due to a Windows update chrome is deleted.
2. I need to reinstall it & I have enabled sync on Chrome Browser hence the authenticator app got added automatically.
3. When I enter an auth code, doesn't; accept it. So I disabled all of them
4. Now trying to reuse them on the website and it did not accept the auth code in stage 2.
   Getting this error "The code didn’t work, try typing it again."
