script.js issues

Hi,

More than a few issues with the javascript in this file. Did you write it in an IDE (I'm using PyCharm) that checks it with a linter? I'm still in the process of cleaning it up and will submit a PR when (if) I finish.

Overall a great book by the way.

I usually don't use PyCharm so not sure what kind of issues you are getting.
