FR : Quick 'Continuous Playback' switch #2411
Comments
Can you explain what your use case is? |
The main reason for this request is during the day I'll listen to the queue with 'Continuous Playback' on and shuffle podcasts around depending on my mood. I usually have around 10 podcast episodes in the queue at a time. At night I listen to them in bed and again use the queue to manage what I'll listen to. I would like to be able to switch off 'Continuous Playback' from the queue as at night I don't want to hear the whole queue, just a single podcast in case I fall asleep during it. I have recently moved from 'Pocket Casts' which has the option to 'sleep after an episode' halting the queue so this kind of adds this feature. |
AntennaPod has a sleep timer. |
I'm not sure how I missed that but yes that would be perfect. |
Closing in favour or #2146. |
Please reopen. This would be a perfect alternative to adding an extra "stop at the end of episode" option for the sleep timer |
@mfietz, I concur with @rubo77 - I think this should be reopened. My use-case is that I usually have continuous playback turned off so I only listen to one episode at a time when I am on breaks at work. However, there are times that I want continuous playback turned on such as when I am at the gym. Having an option to toggle continuous playback from the Queue page (in the context menu, for example) would be extremely useful. |
App version: 1.6.2.3 (F-Droid)
Android version: 7.1.2 (CopperheadOS)
Device model: Nexus 6P
Desired behaviour: I'd like to be able to easily switch the 'Continuous Playback' setting option on and off without having to go into the 'Settings' every time. As I use the queue to organise my playlists it would be good to have this option here. Maybe an icon switch in the top menu, similar to the way the lock icon works.
Current behaviour: You have to go into the 'Settings' and scroll down to find the option and then come back out again.
