Currently, we can highlight a whole row of text using the --highlight-lines argument. How about specifying the column range so that we can highlight only a part of the line .e.g. a function name?

That's nice. We can use line:start:end the specify the column range.

I don't like this since it uses : both for range and for separating line from columns
