With reference to original Issue 5842 - #5842

Cached DNS replies have high MS response times when using AdGuard Web Security and Parental Control services.

Hi @Dynamic5912, thanks for the report.
Unfortunately I am unable reproduce your issue with.

With both AdGuard Web Security and Parental Control services enabled, most queries are still being served from cache. Enabling or disabling those two settings is having no impact on my setup.

Could you please provide the following:
Operating System:
AdGuard Home Version:
Install method:
A copy of your yaml after having removed any private information, and
Any other networking complexities that may contribute to this issue.

Hi,

They are being served from Cache as you can see by the Green Tick.

But the process times are high.

I understand.

Without the information requested in my previous comment, I can't do much to reproduce the issue, let alone get it resolved though.

What DNS servers were you testing with?

I think the issue only exhibits itself if using Unbound and going to the Root DNS servers.

It doesn't matter, he is using root servers with his local unbound instance.
Queries served from cache should not have such high latency and upstreams are not touched when cache is served.

I don't have those issues, with the same setup.

@Dynamic5912 Do not use Adguard caching system if you use unbound!
Unbound does a better job by default.
