Motivation

Why are you requesting this feature? Is it related to a problem?

To create a resume book.

Proposed Change

What are you proposing?

Add a feature where users can upload their resumes. This feature can either be at the profile page or for a specific event. The later will provide an opportunity for us to advertise our events and send resume books to sponsors.

Alternatives

What alternatives have you considered? Why is your solution better?

Giving a link to a google drive or google forms. Not aesthetic enough.

Adoption

How will we make sure everyone can use this feature properly?

Since the website already supports users submission, attaching resumes to their profile will provide a good tool.

Add a note about security somewhere -- how will we make sure that only the sponsors get to see the resume book? Not everyone wants their resume to be public.

If security is too hard to handle, Google Drive may be a better option. I trust Google's security team much more than ours :p

This resume book would only be available for the board and it should be inaccessible to the web. People can send their resume, but not view others. Google Drive can be a good option. The website can upload those files into Google Drive. Then we can zip the resumes together to send it to a sponsor.

we should also make sure that the resume book doesn't get oversaturated (contain a bunch of resumes from ppl who are not looking for jobs). Also an option to make event-specific resume books would be great, so if microsoft sponsors a programming competition then we give them only the resumes of ppl who competed.
