Issue triage

Hi,
today I've linked:

• issue 587 (Oct 2022) with PR 622 (Jul 2023)
• issue 642 (Jan 2024) with PR 628 (Aug 2023)

(I don't link them here intentionally)

In that cases, different people at different time duplicated their effort to came to the similar conclusions.

I think that this kind of waste could be minimized by proper labelling (in a way similar to: https://github.com/golang/go/). I volunteer to categorize existing issues (I think I need the triage role).
