You can achieve this in GitHub by using the Branch Protection feature. Branch Protection allows you to specify certain rules for a branch, including requiring code reviews and requiring status checks to pass before changes can be merged. To specify a certain set of people as reviewers for a branch, you can create a team in GitHub and add the required members to that team. Then, you can add that team as a required reviewer for the branch using the Branch Protection feature. Here are the steps to do this: Create a team in GitHub and add the required members to that team. Go to the repository in GitHub and click on the "Settings" tab. Click on the "Branches" tab. Under "Branch protection rules", click "Add rule". Under "Branch name pattern", enter the pattern for the branch you want to protect (e.g. "xxxx/*"). Under "Require pull request reviews before merging", select "Require review from a specific team". Select the team you created earlier. Optionally, you can also require certain status checks to pass before changes can be merged by selecting "Require status checks to pass before merging". Click "Create" to save the branch protection rule. From now on, any changes to branches that match the pattern you specified will require review from the team you selected. |
