Date created uses the date of import into paperless-ngx instead of the real created date

Hello.
I just drag-and-dropped my first pdf document into paperless-ngx.
I´m wondering why this document has a xmp:ModifyDate and "date created" set to the moment of the import.
The PDF document is from March 2024 and I did not modify it.
So why does paperless-ngx changes the creation date to the date of import instead of reading the real creation date out of the documents metadata?

Dates are extracted from content and/or filename, not metadata

Ok, in my case the document did not have a date within the content and also not in the filename. So this may be the reason that it chose to use the "upload" date.
In my opinion it does not make sense to get a modified or creation date associated with a file that is equal to the upload date. Maybe I should suggest using the create date of the documents metadata as a feature request? Does that make sense?
