Hey, "commercial" means selling something/providing something for something in return. Is your app paid? If not then this should be fine. I am not your lawyer. This is not legal advice. Take care |

I'd like to host my Google Cast receiver app on GitHub Pages.
The Google Cast receiver app is just a bunch of some small static HTML, javascript and CSS files which are sent to any device which starts my Google Cast app (e.g.: Chromecast, Google Cast enabled TV).
The Google Cast receiver app will be used just for text displaying (maybe images as a background in the future). Communication between the client and receiver is done through google servers once the app is downloaded and run on Google Cast device. I have an Android app which will cast some texts to the Chromecast/whatever and I’d like to add paid subscription option to the Android app.
Would that make my Google Cast receiver app categorized as
for commercial use
and fall out of scope of allowed uses for GitHub Pages?Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
