Dear all,
I want to seek urgent assistance regarding a concerning issue with my GitHub account. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the matter through official channels, I have yet to receive any response from the GitHub support team.
On March 26, my previous account (http://github.com/skybay7) was unexpectedly suspended without prior warning or explanation. This suspension occurred just one day after subscribing to Copilot and signing into my GitHub account via VSCode. I want to emphasize that I have not violated any of GitHub's terms of service. If my use of a VPN to access GitHub is relevant, please note that I solely use GitHub for starring repositories and personal backups, and I only briefly experimented with Copilot in VScode.
Compounding the issue, despite the account suspension, my credit card has continued to be charged for the Copilot subscription. This situation has left me feeling frustrated and helpless, as I am unable to access my account to rectify any issues or cancel the subscription. Despite my efforts to prevent further charges by locking my credit card, there have been two additional attempted charges on April 26th and May 3rd, and I am afraid that there will still be more if I restore my credit card.
I have raised a ticket (number: 2697509) and sent over five follow-up emails to the GitHub support team, yet I have not received any response. Anyone has any ideas what I can do? I don't want to lock my credit card forever.
Any advice to this issue would be immensely appreciated.
Sincerely,
Skybay
