The way I go about this when I use WSL is I just ctrl+shift+P in VS Code and search for the "Git: Clone" option and I choose the repo I'd like to clone and it works. |

This is an issue other people seem to be having with WSL2, but it might be better to try to use GitHub CLI. |

I'm having problem authenticating ssh to github through WSL2 with Ubuntu 24.04
The basic steps were: I set up WSL2, downloaded Ubuntu, updated Ubuntu, configured git and ran
ssh-keygen -t ed25519 -C "your_email@example.com"
Pressed enter all the way, copied the public key to my github account and ran
git clone "repo"
and got
As far as I understand, this should have worked. But other than that I searched the web a lot and tried a few other solutions, none of them worked.
Any ideas?
