• I'm writing a git tool that creates hyperlinks based on commit mesages
• many commit messages have github issue/PR syntax in them
  • for example, feat: add GUI (#17)
• I'd like to generate a link to issue or PR #17 for my users
• But I don't know whether #17 is an issue or a PR
• Is there a URL I can use where my user can visit github, and github will forward them to the appropriate place depending on whether #17 is an issue or a PR?

I would like to be able to do this without making any requests to github, which would make my CLI tool too slow to be usable

Nevermind, this is exactly how github.com/owner/repo/pull/<number> works!
