Github supports light/dark theming natively, however when linking dynamic (ish) images from github there is no way to match the theme: github adds a proxy between the user and the actual image server, and that proxy does not send any color scheme information.
It would be nice if Github could:
send Sec-CH-Prefers-Color-Scheme matching the configuration of whatever user triggered the fetch through the proxy
take Sec-CH-Prefers-Color-Scheme in account for caching if it's Vary by the response, splitting the cache between Sec-CH-Prefers-Color-Scheme: light and Sec-CH-Prefers-Color-Scheme: dark serving the right one to the correspondingly themed users
This would allow the source server to craft the correct color theme if applicable e.g. for large dashboard-type images where the background color can clash with github itself and flashbang the user.
