I was just answering this comment but reading it back I fixed some typos and wording. I noticed that github logs every minor change to the comment, even if it was made immediately after posting.
Obviously it should log major changes to comments, especially when reacted to it. But also, most online commenting like on blogs, forums, reddit etc. have some sort of "grace period" for editing comments, meaning that minor changes to the comment in the first 3 minutes are not logged.
I mean is it really necessary to keep a log of all typos within the first minute of posting a comment? Seems like a waste of resources and diskspace really.
