Why do you write code on stream?
It helps me to focus, and it also makes working from home less lonely. I enjoy talking about my code and how it works, and helping others with their problems - I've done the odd live code review when asked. I've found folks appreciate being able to watch someone with many years' coding experience at work (I've been a professional dev since 2007) and who's willing to talk about both the how and the why.

What is your favorite moment from coding on stream? Share a clip if one is available
The times when It Finally Starts Working. Something's been broken, people in chat have been pitching in suggestions while I've been debugging, and we finally work out where the snag is and fix it.

What do you want to accomplish with the Live Coders?
When I had a full-time dev job, one of the most satisfying parts was helping junior developers get better. I can't really do that as a solo dev. I do have a very part-time job as an assessor for UK game development apprentices (https://www.instituteforapprenticeships.org/apprenticeship-standards/game-programmer/), but it's not the same. When folks do pop up on stream with a problem, I enjoy helping them solve it. Being part of a team that wants to educate sounds great!

What do you want the Live Coders team to help you with?
Advice on improving my streams.
Being able to get to know other code streamers before raiding them - I'm not too keen on raiding new folks blind. I'm already following a few of the Live Coders, but more would be welcome.

If you have any questions about this process, please email: info@livecoders.dev
