DnSpyEx showing wildly different code compared to ILSpy and DotPeek

I am not a .NET developer, I just need to edit a few lines of code in this DLL...so pardon me for being a noob at this. But why is DnSpyEx showing a whole bunch of convoluted if / thens and then nested switch cases?
