It's gotten to the point where I just have to ignore turnsignal and just lift my headset to see if I'm tangled or not. Even after resetting rotation, the forward or "untwisted" position will have me facing a completely different direction than I set it.

Use the patched version from here.

Install:

  1. Install TurnSignal through Steam
  2. Go to your Steam install directory:
    1. In your Steam Library right click on TurnSignal
    2. Select 'Manage' --> 'Browse local files'
  3. Download the patched zip file from the link above
  4. Extract the zip and move the files to the directory from step 2. (replace all existing files)

@Ben-Kaniobi Do you know if this project is actively maintained? I was thinking about making some mods to it myself instead of creating issues if not.

@Rexios80 I don't know for sure, but this project here seems abandoned since early 2018. I found @kylerk's fork through search. Though I think that one was only created for fixing this rotation bug (I might be wrong though, maybe ask there). If you want to create a fork of your own, then I'd suggest you start from kylerBranch there.

@Rexios80 What type of mods were you thinking to add to it?

@kylerk I really want an indicator when I'm tangled that doesn't interrupt my immersion when I'm not. Ideally I want a setting where you have a minimum number of rotations until the overlay shows and then you have to fully untangle for it to disappear again. I don't think it would be hard to implement for someone that knows what they're doing (as in not me lol). But I was going to try and take a hack at it anyways unless you're interested in doing it.
