The Plugin can't communicate with Automatic1111

I've installed using the 1 click xcc file, and added the --api flag to the webui command flags, but I still keep getting the error. Automatic1111 is running in the background as well. Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it?

Did not work for me either. Any chance you are not using the original PS? I wonder if that might be the problem but I'm not sure.

you have to completely restart the UI and restart photoshop. i also installed python at some point in the process (which wasn't in the original tutorial).

i used ./webui-user instead of previous ./webui , problem solved.

i just fixed mine! i added the "--api" command to the COMMANDLINE.ARGS- line in the webui-user.sh file instead of the webui-user.bat file and then it worked...

you have to delete the hash at beginning of line (if it's there) and enter --api between the quotations after COMMANDLINE.ARGS- (sorry i'm not a coder, so i dont know the terminology)

I made it work! (finally)
Steps:

1. Make sure to have --api in both webui-user bat and shell (might not need in both, but just in case)
2. Open webui-user bat instead of webui bat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. After webui-user bat runs, it will give you an address and port at the bottom. Paste that into the settings of the photoshop plugin

The third article helped me solve the problem, default address is 7860, but the [webui user.bat] ouput 7681, i change this suffix and it works finally.👌😅

1.find launch.py
2.search for COMMANDLINE_ARGS
3.find commandline_args = os.environ.get('COMMANDLINE_ARGS', "")
4.add --api inbetween""
5.the code should looks like commandline_args = os.environ.get('COMMANDLINE_ARGS', "--api ")

The error message indicates that you need to start the web UI with the --api flag enabled, so that it can talk to the Automatic1111 service.

To fix this, you will need to start the web UI like this:

./webui.sh --api

The other day, I watched a YouTube video trying to figure out where I went wrong with the installation, as I had the same issue. There was one particular moment when the YouTuber said to add the --api tag in webui-user.bat - save it, and run it

This is the missing information - run webui-user.bat to start Auto 1111, and the plugin will activate in Photoshop.

I've been running webui.bat all this time; as per installation instructions, it still opens Auto 1111, but it doesn't activate the plugin.
