  • My browser: Firefox 101, multiple operating systems
  • My RES version: v5.22.10
  • Am I in reddit beta (yes/no): no

What's the problem?
Volume slider is useless for all but the bottom 10 pixels or so. Anything above that is extremely loud with not much change in volume. My guess is that the slider's a linear scale instead of logarithmic. Reading a bit it seems to be due to an implementation with Firefox specifically. There's a 5 year old firefox bug report with people bickering about what loud means; I'm not confident the implementation will be changed browser side.

Are there any related posts in https://github.com/honestbleeps/Reddit-Enhancement-Suite/issues or /r/RESissues?
Yes, several reddit posts spanning the last few years. No resolution in any of them. I didn't find anything on the Github side.

What other browser extensions are installed?
None relevant

If this is indeed caused by firefox's specific implementation of volume level, is it possible to have an option for an additional log scale to be applied to the slider? Instead of asking the browser for some volume, the option would make RES ask for the log value instead.
